Age limitation for TNPSC Group IV:

Educational qualification for TNPSC Group IV Services:

Applicant should hold minimum general educational qualification, must have passed SSLC Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies.

Technical Qualification:

For Typist:

Must contain the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English

For Steno-Typist, Grade III:

Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting and in Shorthand

  • by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)
  • by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or)

TNPSC Group 4 Syllabus

Computer Qualification:

Contenders should have passed the “Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation” honored by the Technical Education Department.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be complete on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Examination, post/Unit option exercised by the applicants.

  • Written test conducted by TNPSC consists of single paper.
  • This exam is based on the topics of General Knowledge & General Tamil / General English.

  • The minimum qualifying marks for assortment is 90
