Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants having the following minimum educational qualification are eligible for appearing in CTET 2016.

Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

Candidates must have passed senior secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

More 12th Pass Jobs

OR Must have Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):

Candidates should have Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Message: Diploma/Degree Course in Teacher Education: For the purposes of this Notification, a diploma/degree course in teacher education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.ED (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.

Mode of Payment:

Applicants applying for CTET 2016 need to make payment of Examination Fee either through Debit/ Credit Card or through Challan.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of aspirants applying for CTET 2016 will be done on the basis of their marks obtained in Central Teacher Eligibility Test.

CTET Syllabus

Pattern of Examination:

The CTET 2016 examination will be of objective type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ’s). There will be no negative marking. There will be 2 papers of CTET 2016:

  • Paper I: will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
  • Paper II: will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VII

How To Prepare For CTET

Online Registration for CTET 2016:

Step 01 Applicants who are interested to apply they need to fill the online application form through the official website that is ctet.nic.in
Step 02 Then, on home page, aspirants need to go to the section of ‘current news’.
Step 03 Now, Applicants will get a new page consisting with various vacancies.
Step 04 Further Download official notification by pressing related link.
Step 05 Now candidates must read entire notification carefully and follow instructions.
Step 06 Participants, who fulfill all their all eligibility criteria, can apply online by following apply online link.
Step 07 Then, candidates must fill online application form in all manners and Upload scanned photograph and signature of requisite size.
Step 08 Now, Submit fee either through challan form or online mode by using net banking, credit cards or debit card.
Step 09 After complete all procedure for online application form review once at entire form.
Step 10 At last, take print out of filled application form and keep it safe for future referance.

Procedure to Fill Online Application Form

Instruction of Photocopy and Signature:

  • Photocopy size must be greater than 4 KB and less than 100 KB.
  • Photocopy dimension should be 3.5 cm (width) × 4.5 cm (height) only.
  • The Signature size must be greater than 1 KB and less than 25 KB.
  • Signature size should be 3.5 cm (length) × 1.5 cm (height) only.
  • The scanned images should be only in .JPG format.

Submission of On-line application 30th July 2015 to 19th August 2015
Last date for Online Submission of application 19th August 2015
Last date for payment of fees Through E-Challan or Debit/Credit Card by the candidate 20th August 2015 (before 03:30 PM)
Period for On-line Corrections in Particulars (No correction will be allowed in any particulars after this date)

21st August 2015 to 25th  August 2015
